Mediterranean and Middle East Division

We remember that along the Mediterranean coast passed the silk route, across the routes of salt and spices, of oils and perfumes, of amber and ornaments, of tools and arms, of wisdom and knowledge, of art and science. The Greek bazaars were at one time markets and embassies. Along the Roman streets spread power and civilization. From Asiatic lands arrived the prophets and religion. In the Mediterranean Europe was conceived.
